There is a mother and daughter whose relationship has frozen over, rather like the sea in the film.
Although the scenic shots were magnificent I did not feel much response to the characters.
It is a typically unusual choice of play for Cockburn, who first hit the big time in 1995 when she made her stage debut at the Almeida in The Winter Guest, directed by Alan Rickman.
